After the celebrated launch of our Matthew Williamson collaboration at Harrods in March where we served Chambord cocktails, we can’t get enough of the delicious beverage.

The luxury French liqueur brand has come a long way since its introduction in the 1980s and has been repositioned as the drink of choice for the modern and fashion conscious female today.

Chambord was founded in 1982, and is an infusion of red and black raspberries, Madagascan vanilla and XO cognac. It was created drawing inspiration from a raspberry liqueur produced for King Louis XIV during his visit to Château de Chambord in the 17th century. The brand was acquired by Brown-Forman Corporation in 2006, one of the largest American-owned companies in the spirits and wine business which includes some well-known brands throughout the world including Jack Daniels, Southern Comfort and Woodford Reserve and many more.

The iconic orb-shaped regal feel pays homage to its historical inspiration. By offering a luxurious and effortless experience, Chambord appeals to the modern, fashionable and charismatic among us, with only the finest ingredients chosen to enhance Chambord’s cocktail and culinary experiences.

Since its launch, Chambord has worked with many leading fashion names, partnering with the likes of London Fashion Week, collaborating with Nicholas Kirkwood on a limited edition pair of The Chambord shoe, and ventured into its first ever TV advertising campaign in 2012.

Most recently Chambord released a series of surreal campaigns aptly named ‘Because No reason’ celebrating a free-spirited mind-set, ignoring the pressure to conform and encouraging audiences to be true to themselves. The TV advert featured a sultry French woman and a flamingo in a world of bright pastel colours, she encourages people to do want they want, enjoy what they want, simply, because, no reason.
